Our weekend in a nutshell

Aaron and Kendall

This is going to be a random photo dump of our weekend. It was a good one, and I’m ready to start this week of strong. This week I have plans to knock out a work project by Wednesday, and I want to attend a special service at our church on Thursday called the “Broken for You” service. It’s a chance to take the Lord’s Supper and remember Jesus’ sacrifice prior to Easter Sunday.

Friday

HEB grocery pickup

I scheduled an H-E-B grocery pickup Friday after I got off work for the win. It only took them about 10 minutes to get out to my car, and I didn’t have to actually go into a grocery story this weekend.

Aaron and I had a date night. We used to love going to this cute little restaurant over by our old house on Friday nights. It had the best patio. We are still looking for a great patio restaurant for Friday-night date nights over in our new neighborhood. So, we tried a new one: Urban American Kitchen. It was okay, and the weather was perfect. We have some others on our list to try out. I had the fish tacos, and Aaron had the ribs!

Saturday

Big Swig

Aaron and I are huge sparkling water fans. You name it, and we have probably tried it. I am a big fan of Waterloo. Aaron wanted to branch out a bit, so I gave Big Swig a try. While Waterloo is still my favorite, Big Swig is a close second, and they have some really unique flavors like Watermelon Mint, which is delicious. But, nothing is more satisfying to me than lining up all of my sparkling waters in my fridge. #adulting

After that – I made us a breakfast. It’s Sumo mandarin orange season. If ya know, ya know. Go try one if you haven’t.

After that, I did a little workout. Aaron called me while I was getting my workout on and told me that he was on his way home with some materials. Now ladies, you should know that if you receive a call like that, that you should be concerned. And, I had every right. He had gone to Home Depot and just picked up some flooring because our friend, who co-owns Texas Wood Artisans, was coming over to help install the flooring. I must have missed that memo. But, I wasn’t too upset, because Aaron did pick a fab color. And, to his credit, we had looked at photos of this color earlier in the week.

Texas Wood Artisans put Aaron to work and before I knew it, Aaron’s office had flooring again. They are going to do our remaining three bedrooms with the same color. It’s Montrose Oak, and it has gray, brown and even a little blueish hue mixed in. It’s a great color. Here is a better photo:

Sunday

We spent Sunday morning hanging out with this guy:

Sawyer | golden retriever

And then, we got to go meet my friend’s newest little addition to her family. Her baby girl!!!!!! I was thrilled to finally meet her, and she’s just the cutest. She feel asleep when Aaron was holding her, and Aaron decided to take a nap too.

After we met Kendall, we ended our evening having “family” dinner at Los Tios, one of our favorite tex-mex restaurants in our new neighborhood with our friend Blair and his mom.

And yes, this is dilemma!

That’s it friends. I’m looking forward to Easter weekend and heading back to our church for the service. As we close out this last weekend in March, I have high hopes for April. And, we move into Easter weekend, I’m so thankful for the Savior we serve, who died for our sins.

I hope you have a wonderful week!
