I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving – no matter how you chose to spend it this year. I’m shopping Black Friday specials from the comfort of my home this morning and here are some things that I’m hoping to score for our house – and for gifts!
Ring Home Security System
Aaron and I have been doing our research on home security systems ever since we moved in. We’ve decided on the Ring Home Security system because of the low monthly-monitoring fee. All of these recurring charges can really put a dent in your budget, but Ring is definitely affordable – and you own the system. So, if you move, you take it with you. I’m hoping to grab the Ring doorbell – and one of their kits. I also need to buy some extra sensors.
Nespresso Pods
We bought my dad a Nespresso for Christmas last year. We got him the Vertuo machine, which requires the Vertuo pods. They are delicious and come in all different kinds of flavors. I’ll be gifting some fun coffee pods this year. These caramel cookie and vanilla custard pie coffee pods sound delish!
Books
I’ve talked about one of my favorite books that I read last year in this post. I think I’m going to buy both of Josie Silver’s books (One Day in December and The Two Lives of Lydia Bird) and gift them to someone special.
Modern House Numbers
We have our address on our mailbox, but I have had my eye on some of these modern numbers to put on our house.
Firestick
A little birdy told me that the firesticks are on sale, and I have a couple of people in my life who could use them.
Roku
This brings me to my next gift idea, which is a Roku. Maybe your people aren’t firestick people, but the Roku is on sale for $25, which is $15 less than what it typically is.
Office Gift Exchange Idea: Blanket
We always do a white elephant gift exchange with “normal” gifts at the office. This year, I think we might be doing a virtual secret santa. One of the things I love to gift is a blanket. Who couldn’t use more cozy blankets around the house? Someone gift this one to me, and it.is.so.comfy!!!! I love it, and it looks like it comes in multiple colors.
Shiatsu Foot Massager
I know this seems like an interesting gift to give someone, but literally everyone in my dad’s side of the family has one. My aunt and uncle just gifted one to me, and I love it. I keep it under my desk. If you run, bike, walk a lot – suffer from plantar fasciitis…. you need one. It has a hot and cool option as well. I turn mine on throughout the day, and I get daily use out of this!
