Cabo Bachelorette Party Part I

cabo

I’m back from the Cabo Bachelorette party – I got home Monday late afternoon, and I feel like I’ve been playing a bit of catch up since then. The good news: I’m nearly caught up on work emails. The bad news: I’ve still got some work ahead of me. Ya’ll – Cabo was so much fun. If you are new to the party here, I was in Cabo for one of my best friend’s bachelorette party. She’s the last one in the group to tie the knot, so we decided to go big or go home. We had a lot of laughs, some great food, good tequila, lots of pool time and some fun activities. I figured I would recap the first two days, and I’ll wrap up the Cabo party with the remaining three days later this week.

We all headed to the airport separately on Thursday morning. Aaron dropped me off, which was nice of him. Luckily, security wasn’t super busy because I was running a tad late thanks to Houston traffic, but I made it with some time to spare. Once we were all together, we changed into matching Bachelorette party shirts. One of the girls on this trip is incredibly crafty, so she made all kinds of things. We managed to snag seats mostly together, which turned out well. The flight was only 2 hours from Houston, so we were in Cabo before we knew it.

The Hotel

The transportation picked us right up from the airport, and it was about a 30 minute drive to the hotel. We were staying at Secrets Puerto los Cabos, which is highly recommended for a trip like this. It’s all inclusive, so all food and drinks are included in the price of your room. We did a Secrets for my Bachelorette party, and it ensures that everyone won’t have a ton of extra expenses once they arrive. The price of the room for 5 days/4 nights was also very reasonable.

This is your view when you arrive. It was a beautiful, clean resort. We couldn’t check into our rooms until 3, so they held our luggage so we could grab some lunch. After we enjoyed a delicious lunch by the pool, our rooms were ready. They take you by golf cart to your room. Two rooms had two people, and one room had three people staying together.

That’s me with my roomie for the weekend in the front! We’ve met lots of times before, so it was so fun to be able to room together for the weekend. The three ladies in the back were also rooming together, so we all fit on one golf cart.

Bachelorette Decor

As soon as we arrived to our room, we started blowing up the decorations. The plan was to get the bride to the pool so we could decorate her room. If you remember, I was in charge of room decorations, and it involved lots of balloons. Four of our decorated and blew up balloons for the next hour, and her room looked fab.

(The tattoos came from Etsy. The belt bags came from Amazon.)

The custom flags came from Etsy (they were such good quality, and I highly recommend). And the bride balloons came from Amazon.

This was part of the Bride Balloon Amazon kit. When I said we had a lot of balloons to blow up, I wasn’t kidding 🙂

And this custom balloon set came from this Etsy shop. It was so cute and got delivered incredibly quickly.

These were made by one of the girls in the Bachelorette party, and they were so handy to carry with us all weekend.

After we decorated, we went out by the pool for a bit, and this was the view.

We got ready, headed to dinner, and we ended Day 1 (a super full day) with a lingerie shower!

Day 2 was a favorite day for everyone. The bride knew she wanted to do the custom hats, and we were able to score an appointment at Corazon Playero. The hats are all handmade, and hand embroidered, and they have been making the rounds on social media. Their staff are local artisans who customize the hats right there in the store while you wait. We arrived and had the best time choosing our hats and customizing them.

This activity is highly recommended if you are doing a bachelorette party in Cabo. They provide champagne, and there are lots of good photo ops. Here was the hat I created.

And here I am with the bride and my bestie.

They will work with you to find a hat that fits, and you are able to customize your name/initials, the band and more. This was an investment piece that I will keep forever – it’s absolutely gorgeous.

Here she is – sewing on the customizations. Corazon Playero is a must go-see. (I even purchased one for my goddaughter)

Tequila Tasting

Next up, our driver took us to our tequila tasting, which was about ten minutes away form the hat shop. We had ourselves a wonderful afternoon trying the different types of tequila, and we headed back to the hotel that evening for a hibachi dinner.

It was a packed Day 1 and Day 2, and I’ll be back to share the remainder of the trip alter this week. It’s good to be back!
