Cabo Bachelorette Party Part II

Cabo

Happy Monday, friends! I’m back today with part II of the Cabo Bachelorette Party. If you missed part I, you can read all about it here. I’m finally fully rested, recovered and caught back up at work. As we enter into the final couple of days before my new fiscal year, I’m refreshed and looking forward to all to come for the remainder of 2022! What a summer it’s been. (Now, can I start to talk about fall)? But seriously, I made my first pumpkin purchase of the season this past weekend when I was out running errands, and it felt a little like jumping the gun, but also like a smooth transition into this next season of the year. I’m ready to fully embrace it. But, before I start waxing poetic about the seasons to come, let’s jump right into part II of Cabo.

Boat day

Day three of the bachelorette party was spent on the water. Did I mention that we stayed at Secrets? Did I fail to mention that Secrets does this really (not so fun) thing where they have motion sensors in each room so the air conditioner immediately turns off as soon as you leave. It was hot and humid, and the rooms were about 80 degrees every time we came back in, and it would take awhile to cool down. We were hot the whole time, so the water felt like a great escape from the rooms.

Boat day was neon day. Everyone brought neon swimsuits, and one of the girls made visors – it was also a great opportunity to wear our neon fanny packs. We had our shuttle take us to the marina, which was about a 45 minute drive from the hotel, and we had about two hours to walk around, shop and have some margaritas. Now, here’s the thing…… I didn’t love the marina. Cabo is famous for that arch, so the marina was very touristy, and at times, felt kind of dangerous. It could be because we were a group of 7 women who were obviously on a bachelorette party, but we were being offered drugs left and right, and we kept getting followed by vendors trying to sell us items. I didn’t love that part of it, but I felt safe on the boat, and it ended up being a great time.

We stopped for margaritas and some guac at a restaurant before hopping onto our boat. Highly recommend. The boat was all inclusive, so all of our drinks and snacks were provided on board. They took us by some of the famous Cabo spots, like the Arch.

And then they took us to a spot where we could do some water activities like paddle boarding, swimming and hanging out on the lily pad.

The water was a bit chilly, but it felt great after being so hot all weekend.

The crew did a wonderful job at keeping everyone safe, and we all made it back to the marina in one piece. Now, I liked our cruise at Punta de Mita a bit better from our trip last summer, but this was a ton of fun. Our driver picked up back up as promised, and we headed straight for the showers when we got back to the hotel. It also ended up being a room service night for everyone.

Spa Day

Sunday started off in the pool. Secrets had a ton of really neat pool areas – they had those loungers in the middle of the pool – and some spots had seats. We made spa reservations the day we arrived, but they didn’t have any appointments for all of us to go together, so we went in two-hour groups throughout the day while the rest of the group held down the fort at the pool.

I chose the deep tissue massage with hydrotherapy. I don’t have any photos of their hydrotherapy area because my phone was in my locker, but you started off in the sauna, then made you way to the steam room, with an outdoor shower in between. After, you got into the hydrotherapy pool with various water massage stations, the cold plunge pool, the jacuzzi and you finished in the cold plunge pool. It was phenomenal. The area was clean – and it was outdoors, so you felt like you were in a little oasis.

After that, you headed inside for your treatment. The woman who did my deep tissue massage was wonderful, and it was a massage that hit all of your senses. I was so relaxed after that, and we headed straight back into the pool.

By the time everyone finished their spa treatments, it was time to get ready for dinner. This was the sign on our way to dinner. We had our last meal at their Mexican restaurant, and it was my favorite meal of the trip at the resort. We finished our night off at the onsite club – because is it even a bachelorette party if you don’t go to the club? LOL. It ended up being a really good time.

We flew back to Houston the following morning. And, it was the best long weekend, celebrating one of my best friends! I’ll see you back here on Wednesday!
