Friday Things + Nutcracker Market + Weekend Plans

Nutcracker Market

Happy Friday, ya’ll! We made it. I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel this week. We have our virtual Board of Visitors meeting this morning, and I have another project I’m trying to knock out by Monday.

If you are from Houston, you should be familiar with the Nutcracker Market. Here is a bit of background. It is a massive holiday market that benefits the Houston Ballet. My description really doesn’t do it justice, but it’s hundreds of booths set up – and it usually spans 5 days. It’s a great way to kick off your Christmas shopping.

My bestie, Kristen, and I usually go with a couple of other friends on the Friday. I’ve also done the Nutcracker Market with my MIL, and we had the best time! We start the day off with some mimosas – and we shop the market the rest of the day. It’s an all day event, ladies. Here are some photos from over the years.

This year, it’s going virtual! I’m bummed we won’t be able to shop in person this year, but that means more people can join in. You can shop Nov. 12- Dec. 11. Learn more about how to shop here.

We finally ordered a formal dining room table! We ordered this one.

We just need to pick out chairs. Aaron wants to do a combination of a bench and some chairs. Stay tuned.

The dogs love their new backyard! Sawyer (my golden) loves to find a sun spot right next to the pool, and Buttercup loves to play with her ball.

Weekend Plans

Bike Ride | Houston, TX

This weekend, I have every plan to do a long bike ride Saturday morning, and I’ll be walking in the virtual Boot Walk after that (more on that Monday). We need to do a big trip to Costco, and I need to find some baskets that can fit my shelves in my laundry room! We also plan to do a virtual game night with our friends in St. Louis!!!! Happy weekending, friends!
