Happy Friday, friends. I’m so glad it’s Friday – it’s been a jam packed week. I don’t have any meetings on my schedule today, which means I can put my head down and get some uninterrupted work in. I can’t wait. We dropped the puppies off this morning for their spay and neuter surgery. Fingers crossed all goes smoothly. So, I’ve settled in with my coffee, and I’m ready to get to work.
This week was a fun week filled with some fun activities and surprises in the mail. My mom sent these “pup-kin spice” dog biscuits for the puppies this week since she knew they were having their spay/neuter surgery today. Spoiled much? I’ll be home with them this weekend to make sure they recover fully.

Team building
We had a team building activity yesterday at the Houston Zoo. I love the zoo – we did lunch, some animal encounters (hello naked mole rats) and broke into teams to do a scavenger hunt. It was a fun day, and I’m thankful to have these opportunities to connect (in person) with my team! How cute is that baby elephant?
Halloween
We are officially going to decorate for fall/Halloween this weekend. We have a ton of kids in our neighborhood – and a ton of trick-or-treaters, so we decided to do a large inflatable dinosaur. I think we will also do the spiders on the house! I’ll let you know what he ends up looking like once we inflate him.
Snacks
You all know I’m the snack queen during my work-from-home days. My mom sent this pretzel sampler our way this week. It’s got a mixture of garlic ranch, honey mustard, bbq, cinnamon sugar, honey butter and jalapeño. They are so good. I’ve been snacking on these bad boys all week. The honey butter is my favorite.
In the kitchen
I’ve been hitting the kitchen a lot this week. I’m in that strange limbo between summer foods – and fall foods. I still can’t get enough of this Cowboy Caviar – and my banana bread!
As for what’s on the menu for dinner tonight? We are dropping some dinner off for a friend in celebration of his new house. Jury is still out on what we are going to grab!

You know that my husband and I are vacuum power users thanks to our golden retrievers. We’ve got this Roomba, and he’s an important member of our cleaning squad. He can go underneath furniture where some of that pet hair can tend to gather, and he’s great to let loose while you do some more substantial vacuuming with your handheld. It’s a great deal!
AirPods are on a pretty big sale. We picked some up at Costco earlier this year, and we paid more than the $169! If you’ve wanted to try them – now’s your chance.
The Stars Above brand is one of my very favorite Target pajama brands. It’s so soft and comfortable. Their nightgowns – and two piece sets are on major sale right now. I grabbed some more myself. Love love love this PJ brand.
I might be the only person on the planet who has yet to purchase an air fryer. I’m tempted (not that I need another appliance), but at this price, I might give it a go to see if I’ll like it. All of my friends who have one – love it! I can see myself cooking lots of vegetables in it (hello, Brussel sprouts) among other items. I’ll let you know if I end up purchasing.
