Happy Friday! I’m back today talking about some of my favorite things from this week for this edition of Friday favorites. Right now, I’m enjoying a hot cup of Nespresso to kick my Friday off the right way. So, let’s get to it, shall we?
One of my favorites was reliving our short little trip to New Braunfels this past weekend. Making new friends can be difficult as an adult, but it’s key to put yourself out there. I always love it when acquaintances turn in to real life friends. And, that’s how we met our friend Zac. It was a chance meeting last year – and Aaron and Zac really hit it off. We’ve all since become friends, and it was a pleasure to meet his girlfriend this weekend in New Braunfels. That’s a Friday favorite of mine for sure.
I’m also grateful that live music is back. I’ve seen Cody Johnson at the Houston Rodeo, so it was only fitting that he was our first segue back into the world of live music. God. Bless. Texas!
I love my earrings that I picked up in New Braunfels. They are coming on vacation with me for sure. I really appreciate how lightweight they are.
Celebrating Memorial Day with some of our friends at our house was so much fun and a highlight of the week. We spent the greater part of last year making a conscious effort not to gather together. It’s not lost on me how lucky we are that we can finally be back in each other’s company.
My Apple Watch challenge for June is to walk 106.3 miles this month, which averages out to about 3.5 miles each day. That is certainly doable, and for those who count steps, it’s just under 8,000 steps a day. So, I got out on a different trail on Monday to get my steps in. Gorgeous views!
This girl has been depressed ever since Sawyer passed away. Sawyer and I had such a special bond, but Buttercup and Sawyer were a bonded pair. It’s been tough on her. So, I’ve been trying to take her to run some errands with me here and there. She came with me to a do a grocery pickup Monday morning.
And finally, even though he’s no longer with us, Sawyer will always be a Friday favorite. I think about his sweet face every day, and I’ll miss my boy forever. He was a such a life force, that his presence is so missed in our house.
