Friday Favorites – Anniversary Edition

Happy Friday, friends! It’s my last day until I’m out of the office for the week. No worries, I’ve still got blog posts coming your way next week. I don’t know about ya’ll, but I feel like I’ve kind of limped my way to the finish line this week, so I’m really happy that it’s Friday. Don’t get me wrong, it’s been good, but busy.

Aaron and I celebrated two months with our Spuds this week. They are slowly but surely coming along and learning the rules of the road.

They are in the fun biting stage. 🙂 And, they’ve learned how to de-stuff their toys. Aaron and I were cracking up this week because they managed to rip one of the feet off their eagle.

Real Colors

My team is going through a Real Colors exercise in a couple of weeks. I took the pre-assessment this week. It’s one of those programs similar to StrengthsFinders that shows how you can best understand and work with your team. Based on my initial test, I think I’m leaning toward blue, but I’m not quite sure what that means yet. Stay tuned. We have our workshop in the middle of August.

You know it’s always a good day in my house when my Nespresso order arrives. I buy monthly so I can pick and choose my flavors based on what we feel like drinking. It’s become one of my favorite morning (and afternoon routines). The “Mexico” blend might just be my favorite. It’s strong – and delicious. I also added the “Esperanza de Colombia” to my order this time, which is a new flavor. It’s also very delicious and can stay in the rotation.

Tennis

My instructor is back from Spain, so we had a tennis lesson this week. I’m definitely still a beginner, but this was the first time that I feel like I’m kind of getting the hang of things. We went for about an hour and half, mainly practicing switching between forehand and backhand in some drills!

Wedding Anniversary

And yesterday, we celebrated five years. We didn’t do anything super special yesterday, but we are headed out to a nice dinner tonight. I always have fun remembering our wedding day – and I took a bit of a walk down memory lane yesterday! Our wedding photos were gorgeous, and our wedding photographer did an amazing job. I’ll have to do a recap of our wedding – so if you are a California bride, I have some vendors that you must use.

For the rest of my Friday, I’ve got my nose down in my computer, trying to tie up some loose ends before I’m out next week! Have a wonderful weekend.
