Friday Favorites: New puppy edition

Happy Friday. This feels like the longest week ever! We flew back in Monday evening from a short getaway to Mexico, which I’ll recap next week. But first: Friday Favorites.

Here I am at Le Leche, which is where I had probably one of the Top 5 dinners in my life!

But, obviously, Mexico is a Friday Favorite for sure. We had the best time. We stayed at a beautiful resort in Punta de Mita, and we ate some delicious food and went on some really fun excursions. I’ll talk more about that next week, but I feel as relaxed and refreshed as I can be.

Puppy Snuggles

And, it’s not going to be a Friday Favorite if I don’t mention the newest additions to our family. Tex and Cali are a favorite for sure. We are all still getting to know one another around here, and they are still teeny tiny puppies, but I’m confident they will start learning our rules soon enough. They are young enough where they will still let you snuggle with them! I am in puppy heaven around here!

COVID travel

Travel is back, which is a huge favorite of mine. It just looks a bit different than it did before. Here I am in our Uber on our way back to our house after vacation. I look a hot mess, but that’s a happy girl right there! Ironically, we won’t be going anywhere for awhile until the pups are a bit more trained, but I was glad to getaway for a bit before they arrived.

Baylor Bears

Baylor Bear

My cousin is going to Baylor, which as we know, is my alma mater. For those unfamiliar, Baylor’s mascot is a bear, and I was so lucky to have been able to get a photo op with Joy while I was a senior. I was in a sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, and I served on the executive committee, so one day, we had the chance to take a photo with one of the Baylor Bears. A college highlight for sure. I was inspired to dig up this old photo, and it brought back a whole host of happy college memories.

House renovations

And last, but certainly not the least: our house renovations are in full swing, and I could not be more thrilled. The crew started on Wednesday, and my walls don’t have holes in them anymore. The crew is moving quickly and efficiently, and I’m incredibly pleased with the progress. I didn’t realize how out of sorts I’ve felt with a house that has not been put together since February, until I was finally able to relax on our vacation. The light is at the end of the tunnel, and I’m ready to have my (new) house put back together!
