Favorite Trader Joe’s Finds

Trader Joe's pizza items

I always love the posts where people show some of their favorite finds from Trader Joe’s. It’s one of my favorite stores (and that’s how I know I’m old – I have a favorite grocery store). I don’t do my main grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s, but they have some of my favorite specialty finds – and snacks! So, now that my husband and I are co-workers – we find ourselves meeting for lunch in the kitchen on the daily. And, I was running out of lunch ideas.

I’ve gotten in the really bad habit – of eating lunch at my desk. When I was in the office, I would go out to lunch with co-workers, but now, it’s (sadly) more efficient for me to eat lunch at my desk. And trust me, it’s a habit that I’m trying to break, but I find other times throughout my day to get up – and away from the computer screen.

So, a trip to Trader Joe’s was just the right thing to stock up on some different types of snacks and lunch items. I also love Trader Joe’s fall selection, but I didn’t go crazy this time. I’ll go back in a week or two for some of my favorite fall items (I love love love their pumpkin bagels – and I didn’t see them when I was there recently.

So, let me just dive right on in.

Trader Joe's shopping trip
A completely disorganized photo of my Trader Joe’s items!

I realize that the picture is not the cutest one I’ve ever taken, but I was trying to put some of my frozen items away quickly 🙂

Trader Joe's Indian

I discovered these frozen Indian meals awhile back, and they are great in a pinch. This one (the palak paneer) is one of my favorites. If you like Indian food, you should give these a try. Aaron likes the lamb vindaloo, and it apparently has a good spice to it. So, I grabbed a couple that we could eat for a quick lunch.

Trader Joe's dips

I’ve talked about the trio of shaved parmesan, Romano and asiago cheeses before. When I make homemade pizzas for Pizza Night at our house, I always use this cheese. While I was in the dairy section, I grabbed the Everything But the Bagel dip – it’s made with Greek yogurt, and it was a big hit with some pretzel chips. I love Trader Joe’s pumpkin cream cheese spread. I buy it every year when their Fall products arrive. It’s the best on their pumpkin bagels!

Trader Joe's sweet potato ribbons

Veggie noodles are something I try to have on hand to use in the place of regular noodles. I typically use Zoodles – or zucchini noodles – so I grabbed these to try. I used them in a recipe, which I’ll share in a bit. Would 100% buy then again.

Trader Joe's soba noodle stir fry

I also grabbed this Soba Noodle Stir Fry kit. I’m going to use it with some salmon tonight, so I’ll report back!

Trader Joe's roasted cauliflower cheese ravioli

The ravioli selection at TJ’s is unmatched. They have so many different varieties, and this roasted cauliflower and cheese ravioli is one we have not tried. This flavor didn’t disappoint, and I made it with TJ’s creamy tomato basil marinara.

Trade Joe’s Pizza Items

I also grabbed some salami, pizza sauce and the spicy honey sauce caught my attention. I knew exactly what type of pizza I had in mind: a hot honey pizza.

Trader Joe's frozen pizza crust

So, using one of Trader Joe’s frozen pizza crusts, I used the salami, cheese, sauce, added jalapeños, and I drizzled it with the spicy honey once it was done baking!

So good! You need to pick up some of that spicy honey sauce on your next trip. I’m thinking of some other recipes I can add it to and will share as I make them!

That’s it for today, and I’ll see you back here tomorrow for my Bachelor in Paradise recap!!!
