Happy happy happy Friday! I’m starting my weekend off early today. I’m having a little photo shoot with the puppies a little bit later this morning, and I can’t wait to see how the pictures turn out. I’ve wanted to have professional photos taken of them since they were puppies. Call me crazy, but Sawyer and Buttercup were in our engagement pictures, and I treasure them more than ever now that Sawyer and Buttercup aren’t here. So, I thought it was only fitting that I have some taken of Tex and Cali. I know I’ll enjoy them for years to come.
Now, I’m not sure how well they are going to behave, so that should be an experience. Stay tuned. And then, later in the afternoon, I’m having a facial. It should be a really good day. Here are some favorites from this week.
Fall decorations
My house is finally decorated for fall. I’ll keep these decorations out until I put my Christmas stuff out – typically the weekend after Thanksgiving.
This isn’t necessarily a favorite, but the puppies are on the upswing. They’ve been under the weather for the last week, and we’ve finally turned a corner. I’m keeping them on the probiotics and pumpkin in the hopes they don’t have longterm stomach issues.
Pumpkin Carving Party
I had so much fun at our annual pumpkin carving party this last weekend. That was a favorite for sure!
Swimming spuds
It’s still warm enough out for the pups to go swimming. They been getting in this entire week in the evenings to go for a swim.
The garage gym is coming in clutch this week. I like to lift some heavier weights from time to time, and it’s been good to get out there to get some lifting in.
My mother-in-law bought this rice cooker/vegetable steamer for me when we first got married. And, I love it. It’s really come in handy this week, because I’m adding rice into the dogs’ food to help soothe their stomachs. It’s so easy to just pop uncooked rice in, and push the “steam” button. It makes the perfect rice time after time.
Make me royal
Ya’ll. My friend had that royal portrait of Sawyer made for my birthday. What she didn’t know, was that Aaron thought it would be funny to have a portrait of me done by “Make Me Royal.” Both arrived this week, and they are kind of hilarious. Where does one hang a portrait of themselves? I certainly got a good laugh out of it.
I’ve had some good items on my menu this week, and this salmon dish was one of them. I’ll share more about this dinner in a post next week!
That’s all I have for this week. I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend!
