It’s one of my favorite times of the year: Bachelor in Paradise is officially back! The Bachelor/ette are one of my life’s favorite guilty pleasures, but Bachelor in Paradise takes the cake. This season should really deliver because it’s got men from Clare/Tayshia’s season, some of the girl’s from Pilot Pete’s season, the women from Matt’s season and some of Katie’s men. And, some other familiar faces (Grocery Store Joe and Becca – I see you) returning.
After visiting Sayulita earlier this summer, it was freakin’ hot, so I’m going to need these ladies to drop their makeup routines!
So far we have Grocery Store Joe and Serena P., Abigail and Noah, Brendan and Natasha and Mari and Kenny who are coupled up.
Demi is back. And ya’ll, I’m dead. David Spade just asked if she would be going after (and I quote)…. “the P or the D” this week. Time will tell. She gets a date card. She takes Connor aside for a chat. He was on Katie’s season. Then, she pulls Kenny aside. But, if you remember, he’s “been vibing” with Mari. But she’s not done there – next, she grabs Brendan who she ends up asking on the date.
They go jet skiing. She’s got kind of an awkward vibe with Brendan – and she seems reeeeaaaal into him. God bless Brendan, because he tries to be honest and tells Demi that he wants to explore his options.
While Brendan is on his date – the other contestants start spilling the tea. Apparently he’s been dating Pieper from Matt James’ season – so that leaves everyone wondering why he even decided to come on the show.
Carl comes in with a date card. I’m not quite sure who Carl even is, but here we are. Jessenia gets the date card, and she asks Ivan. I’m rooting for Ivan to find love. I’m reaaaal confused about who Victoria thinks she’s in a relationship with: James – Jordan – some guy who gives her the chills.
I ship Jessenia and Ivan. HOW CUTE ARE THEY?!?! They go to a private dinner. Jessenia and Ivan actually have a deep conversation around race – and the hate that some of the contestants can face. They kiss – and Ivan is V into her. And, we are just on Day 2 in paradise, but Jessenia can see herself falling in love with Ivan.
Demi comes back sans Brendan and spills the beans to some of the other women about how Brendan wants to explore his options. The ladies give Demi the scoop about Brendan and Pieper. Demi confronts Brendan about his relationship with Pieper. His version of the story is that they were hanging out previously, but that there is/was (?) no relationship. The Pieper/Brendan drama continues to dominate, and I’m thinking that he did indeed – have a boo thang back home.
James and Victoria seem to be hitting it off, but Tammy is not feeling it. Tammy was “caught in her web of lies” on Pilot Pete’s season. Apparently Victoria also has a boo thang back home as well, and she’s just on BIP for more Insta followers. I thought Kelsey and Victoria were friends, but Kelsey is the one who spilled the beans. These ladies are messy.
First Rose Ceremony
David Spade graces us with his presence at his first-ever rose ceremony. We’ve got 10 men and 14 ladies.
